Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to identify the yield and quality characteristics of Persian clover (Trifolium resupinatum L.) at the experimental field of Ahi Evran University, Agricultural Faculty in 2015. The trial was planned as a split plot design with three replications, row spacing being main plots, and seed rate sub plots. Green, dry matter and protein yields were 17.76-28.86, 2.95-4.8/5, and 0.4-0.69 t ha-1, respectively. The results showed that the lowest green, dry matter and protein yields were found from 0.5 kg/da, and the highest ones from 1.5 kg/da seed rate. Different row spacings, 20, 30 and 40 cm, had 23.93, 24.74 and 20.81 t ha-1 green yields, 3.99, 4.04, and 3.52 t ha-1 dry matter yields, and 0.59, 0.63, and 0.53 t ha-1 protein yields, respectively. The highest yielding row spacing was 30 cm, and the lowest was 40 cm row spacing application. Key words: Trifolium resupinatum, row spacing, seed rate, herbage yield, quality
