Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study was to determine the total organic carbon (TOC), inorganic carbon (IC), total carbon (TC) and total nitrogen (TN) concentrations in Küçükkuyu, Güre and Dikili sea sediments and to determine whether the pollution is inland or marine source. Within the scope of the study, core samples were collected at 13.0-28.0 m, 13.20-16.0m and 10-19 m depths in Küçükkuyu, Güre and Dikili regions and analyzed in Namık Kemal University Central Laboratory. TOC values in Küçükkuyu, Güre and Dikili regions were measured between 10.35-20.36, 8.14-16.40 and 2.71-12.60 g / kg, respectively. The highest concentration of TOC was found in Küçükkuyu. IC concentrations were measured for all three points (Dikili, Güre and Küçükkuyu) at 5.64-9.43, 3.67-9.94 and 6.05-8.71 g / kg, respectively. The IC pollution source was found to be similar for all three drilling points. It has been found that the total source of nitrogen pollution is similar at all three drilling points. The highest nitrogen concentrations were measured in Küçükkuyu. In Güre, less nitrogen concentration was measured than the other two drilling points. In the case of TOC / TN <10, it is stated that the source of organic pollution is not caused by intra-continental activities. TOC / TN ratios in Küçükkuyu, Güre and Dikili were found to vary between 6.5-16.97, 12.33-46.89 and 2.82-14.48, respectively. In this case, the highest TOC / TN ratio was found in Güre region. It can be said that the main source of organic matter measured in other sample points is inland (terrestrial).
