Abstract (EN)

The increasing interest in different cultures day by day has led to the increase and development of travel activities. Tourism is a tool that directs intercity, intercountry and ultimately international cultural activities. This thesis study aims to draw attention to the cultural heritage potential of Burdur city center, emphasize the historical city identity and contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage. In the thesis study, this aim will be discussed in the context of the "cultural route" concept, which is a tool in the protection of cultural heritage. By bringing together the scattered historical structures in the study area with cultural route routes, the gaps between the structures will be eliminated and the region will be addressed holistically. In addition to the general routes within the cultural route setup, it is desired to highlight the various features of Burdur center and draw attention to these structures in the planned thematic routes. A route has been drawn for the cultural heritage of this region through the cultural route, which has become a tool in preserving the cultural heritage value. With this route consisting of 16 stops, it is aimed to create a model for future applications within the scope of the thesis.
