Abstract (EN)

In the research, the relationship between cultural capital and school climate was revealed according to the opinions of teachers working in public secondary schools in the central districts of Ankara. This research is a quantitative study that was carried out with the relational screening method, which is one of the general screening methods. The target population of the study consisted of teachers in the central districts of Ankara. Data were collected using the " School Climate Scale" developed by Canlı, Demirtaş and Özer (2016) and the "Cultural Capital Scale" developed by Avcı and Yaşar (2014). Frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and percentage values of the data were calculated using the SPSS program. Independent samples t-test and ANOVA test were used to determine whether there was a difference between variables. The scheffe test was applied to find the significant difference between the groups. When homogeneity of variances was not met, Welch's F test and Games Howel test were applied. The relationship between cultural capital and school climate was investigated using the Pearson moments correlation (r) technique. It has been determined that teachers' views on cultural capital are at "high level" and their views on school climate are at "mostly" level. It has been observed that teachers' views on cultural capital and school climate differ according to some demographic variables. It has been determined that there is a significant, positive and low-level relationship between teachers' views on cultural capital and their views on school climate.
