Abstract (EN)

The Quran has given us some commands so that we can be guided on the path of God. Jihad and emr-i bi'l-ma'ruf nehy-i ani'l-munker, which are the subject of our study, are among the most important commandments that Allah has made us a duty on the path of God as a requirement of Islam. These two concepts appear in connection with each other in the Quran and other sciences in terms of goal and method. While Jihad aims to destroy the elements that try to disrupt both the moral and social order of the society and to establish an order dominated by the good; emr-i bi'l-ma'ruf nehy-i ani'l-munker tries to build a moral and religious consciousness that will start from the individual and spread to the society. In other words, both aim to create a more livable world by purifying people from evil, increasing the spirituality of society, and protecting the right to freedom of religion and belief. Moreover, it is very important to evaluate jihad and emr-i bi'l-ma'ruf nehy-i ani'l-munker in terms of freedom of religion and belief. Clarifying these issues is crucial both for people to warm towards Islam and for the spread of Islam. While the method of jihad mostly involves a physical or social struggle in the military field; emr-i bi'l-ma'ruf nehy-i ani'l-münker is made with an intervention verbally or physically. However, both of them take responsibility for the individual and society and prioritize sincere and wise behavior. In short, emr-i bi'l-ma'ruf nehy-i ani'l-munker makes preliminary preparations for the guidance of society by respecting people's freedom of religion and belief and instilling consciousness in them. This process creates the spiritual infrastructure of jihad, which will subsequently lead to a large-scale social struggle.
