"Hubb" concept in the Qur?an

Abstract (EN)

In our this study, an etymologic analysis of the concept of ? hubb ? will be examined. Dictionary definitions of concept of ? hubb ? will be searched; the verses in which the words rooted from ? hubb ? pass will be determined; and the meanings that they attain in these verses will be indicated. The synonyms and antonyms of the concept of ? hubb ? will be explained in the light of these verses. And the concept will be evaluated from both sociological and psychological respects.One main pillars of a peaceful society is a mutual interaction between individuals. To be able to continue social affairs, it is a widely known fact that love should have a place next to legislation rules. From the smallest social body, that is, the family, to the all kinds of societies, love has a great role in order to attain peace, trust, and solidarity.The concept of love that is thought as an emotion and explained by its reflections will be tried to be explained with respect to Holy Qur'an.The goal of the Holy Qur'an is to educate the humans based mainly on a love and affection education; and by means of such an education it tries to direct the individual to himself, at first and then to his real lover, his Creator.Key Words: The Qur'an, endearment, semantic analysis, the God, Human Being, Love.
