Lexical meaning acquires contextual meaning within the framework of some words in the Qur'an

As in every language, one of the important aspects of the Arabic language is the meanings that the words indicate. Sometimes, the meanings of words change under the influence of their context, and words can acquire new meanings other than their lexical meanings. The Holy Qur'an has given new and different meanings to some words in the Arabic language with its context since the first day it was revealed. To understand this new structure, which left the Arabs incapable of creating a similar one, linguists and commentators examined the Qur'anic words and made great efforts to show their meanings. The present study investigates the relationship between the context of the Qur'an and the transformation of literal meanings from lexical meaning to contextual meaning and aims to uncover clearly and comprehensively how the context of the Qur'an affects the formation of meanings. For this purpose, firstly, concepts such as "indication", "word" and "meaning" related to the subject were explained along with the topics of context and the context of the Qur'an. Then, some verses from the Holy Qur'an were selected and analyzed in terms of language and context. The importance of understanding the context of the Qur'an to understand the Arabic language in general and the Holy Qur'an in particular was discussed. The study also aimed to show the importance of examining the contexts of the Qur'an to analyze the curriculum and terminology of the Qur'an and interpret them accurately and comprehensively. It was considered that this would improve the understanding of religious texts and contribute to the linguistic and religious knowledge of those conducting studies in this field.
