Floristic investigations in south of Kurtalan (Siirt) district

Abstract (EN)

In the results of floristic investigations in Siirt province, South of Kurtalan district: 222 taxa which belong to 37 family and 141 genus was established. According to floristic view, the most widespread family was found to be Leguminoseae (% 17,5), then Compositae ( % 9), Cruciferae (% 8,5), Umbelliferae (% 6,7), Labiatae (% 6,3) families follow this family. The genus which has the most taxa was found to be Trifolium . Phytogeographics regions of 95 taxa in the region could be determined. According to this : 60 taxa (% 27) belong to Irano-Turanian, 17 taxa (% 7,6) belong to Mediterranean, 11 taxa (% 4,9) belong to East Mediterranean, 7 taxa (% 3,1) belong to Euro-Siberian. 4 endemic plants were established in the region. Endemism rate is % 1,8. Besides, 2 rare plants were found. In view of the fact that, previous researchs and volume 1-11 th of ? Flora of Turkey? by DAVIS, 36 taxa for C8 grid, 62 taxa for Siirt and 1 taxa for South-East Anatolian Region are recorded for the first time.
