Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted on macrofungal grown in their natural habitats between spring and September 2024 within the borders of Kurtalan (Siirt) district. Colorful photographs of the mushroom samples collected in the study area were taken in their natural growing environments, and the ecological and morphological characteristics of the mushrooms, as well as ethnomycological data, were recorded in the field notes. As a result of field and laboratory studies, a total of 76 macrofungi species were identified, distributed among 7 orders and 27 families belonging to the classes Agaricomycetes, Pezizomycetes ve Leotiomycetes. Among these, 8 were edible, 66 were inedible, 2 were identified as poisonous. With this study, 5 new macrofungus species have been added to the biodiversity of our country. The new records are Saccobolus truncatus Velen. (Helotiaceae), Geopora tenuis (Fuckel) T. Schumach (Pyronemataceae), Tulosesus pellucidus (P. Karst.) D. Wächt. & A. Melzer (Psathyrellaceae), Amylocorticiellum molle (Fr.) Spirin & Zmitr. (Amylocorticiaceae), Peniophora albobadia (Schwein.) Boidin (Peniophoraceae)'dır. The macrofungi specimens have been diagnosed, their systematic classifications have been determined, and photographs of basidiocarps and spores have been taken. Additionally, their distribution, edibility status, other characteristics, and descriptions of newly recorded species have been provided. These specimens are stored at the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology, Mycology Research Laboratory (VANF).
