Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study was to examine the relationships between the sustainability levels of the companies where employees working in the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone(OIZ) work and their compliance with corporate principles. The study also examined the effects of employee and company characteristics on institutionalization and sustainability perception. In the study, data was collected from n=436 employees calculated with simple random sampling method using a survey method. Personal information form, Corporate Sustainability and Compliance with Corporate Principles (Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia - CLSA) scale statements were included in the surveys. SPSS program was used in the analyses. When the results were examined; it was seen that the employees' levels of compliance with corporate sustainability and corporate principles were at high levels according to the scale scores. It was seen that the participants' levels of compliance with Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Principles did not differ according to gender, marital status, number of employees in the company, and foreign trade activities. It was determined that the levels of compliance with Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Principles differed statistically according to characteristics such as age, education, professional seniority, company type, and capital size (p<0.05). It was seen that there was a significant and directly proportional relationship between institutionalization and sustainability. In addition, it was determined that the most important variable affecting the levels of Corporate Sustainability Perception is the dimension of compliance with corporate principles, while the effects of the sub-dimensions of Responsibility and Transparency are at a similar level and at a lower level than corporate principles. Individuals who see their companies as more corporate also stated that they have a more sustainable structure. It is thought that the results will contribute to evaluating the possible positive impact of improvements made in corporate governance in companies operating in the sector on sustainability.
