Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the effects of institutional structure on income distribution in Turkey. For this purpose, the data for the period between 2009 and 2019 were analyzed by Panel Data Analysis method. The dependent variable used in study is the regional Gini coefficient. As an institutional quality indicator, variables such as the number of illiterate people, the number of faculty or college graduates, household internet access and the number of convicts were included in the analysis. Acording to the findings, there is a statistically significant relationship between institutional factors and income distribution.
