Installation and selection of enterprice resource planning (erp) and analyze of erp user companies' expectations from the system.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions provide execution of all operations, workflow and information flow on an integrated basis. Organization resources can be used in an efficient way with this system?s frame. So, planning, control and estimates related to the future can be performed easier. The organizations evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the ERP then if they decide to establish it, firstly ERP package selection is performed and after that the implementation of the system is commenced. If the possibility of the hundreds ERP software on the market is taken into consideration, the selection of the system in which the organization will make maximum efficiency is being became more important. Selecting the right ERP system for the organizations is not enough for being successful. Right implementation is also critical step. When selection and implementation processes are handled successfully, organizations mostly achieve deserved competitive advantage and efficiency in the market. In this study, it was aimed to investigate whether Turkish organizations implement ERP effectively and the system performance meet their expectations or not, through a survey. In this manner, critical success factors in ERP implementation were examined. Although, the importance of the critical success factors were accepted by organizations, these factors have not been realized adequately. In the implementation success, top management support and company-wide support were determined as the most important factors. Other factors can be ranged as; project management, suitability of hardware/software, software vendor support, business process reengineering, training and data accuracy.
