Prof Dr. Ladine ÇELİKInfluence of the diets prepared with different levels of L-carnitine on grasscarp fry (Cytenopharingodon ideell Vall.) were studied in this study. Fish have 9.75±0.75 g initial mean weights were used for 60 days feeding trial. Experiment was setas control, 200, 400, and 600 mg/lt L-carnitine levels groups. At the end of experiment, the results indicated that the group fed with 200mg/lt L-carnitine showed a higher weight gain comparing to control and other L-carnitine groups (P<0,05). Live weight gain of control, 400 and 600 mg/lt L-carnitinegroups were similar. Survival rates were 97.91 % for 3, 96.52 % for 1. and 2 groupsand 95.13 % for control group. Food conversion rate and daily weight gain (1.57)were better in the group of 200 mg/lt. Food conversion rate was 3,05 and dailyweight gain was 0,15 in this group.Key words : Grass carp, L-carnitine, growthII
