Abstract (EN)

The construction sector is one of the sectors where work accidents are most common. The two most important causes of the most fatal accidents in construction are falling from height and construction machinery accidents. While falling from height in construction is the subject of many studies, the lack of thorough academic research on construction machinery draws attention. Therefore, in this research, the machines that cause the most death in construction machinery accidents which include tower cranes, forklifts, excavators, concrete pumps, loaders and trucks have been analyzed. Risk assessments of the above mentioned machines were carried out using the L Type(5x5 Matrix) Risk Analysis Method and the Fine Kinney Method. As a result of the obtained results, it was analyzed that the Fine-Kinney method gave more reliable and sensitive results than the L Type(5x5 Matrix) Risk Analysis Method. As a result, Regulatory and preventive actions have been proposed by comparing the evaluation results made by two different methods.
