Abstract (EN)
Thin Layer Radio Chromatograhpy (TLRC) is one of the common chromatographic method used in the quality control of substances containing a radioactive component. In current study, it is developed a cost-effective TLRC scanner using open source hardware Arduino for quality control processes of radiolabeled compounds and/or radiopharmaceuticals in Nuclear Applications Laboratories. The developed laboratory type TLRC scanner is composed of two modules: Geiger-Muller counter and control module. Technetium-99m (99mTc) and Iodine-131 (131I) radionuclides were used to test the TLRC scanner and the results were compared with the commercial TLRC scanner device. The test results showed that the developed TLRC scanner system was suitable for radio-pharmaceutical purity testing and had sufficient performance.
