This altitude forces the villagers to use thegravity and turbine-pump systems for irrigation. Due to of lack of knowledge of thevillagers in selecting type of units and systems from the experts, some units workinefficiently and others do not work properly. On the other hand, unconscious wateruse from the Lamas stream by the villagers causes water shortages in the area. In thisstudy, firstly the amount of drinking and irrigation water needed for the villagerswho take water from Lamas stream was determined. Than if the same amount ofwater needed is carried by turbine-pomp, gravity and electro motopomp to the sameplace, the systems cots and cost per unit (YTL/(m3 ) were calculated for differentdischarge s, manometrik heads and pipe lengths. Tables and graphics were tabulatedfrom the calculated values to determine best system selection. I hope this study helpspeople who want to work in detail in such area.Key Words: Turbine-pomp, electro- motopomp, gravity system, water consumptionii
