Abstract (EN)
In our country, the use of individual vehicles is increasing day by day. According to TÜİK data, the growth rate of individual vehicles in Hatay province between 2014 and 2019 was approximately %30.22. This increase brings with it many bad problems. We can list them as follows. Traffic consistence, noise and image pollution, exhaust gas emission, time spent in traffic, the fee spent by Citizens for transportation services, etc. Solutions related to the mentioned problems should be produced and solutions should be constantly updated according to the current conditions. If the necessary solutions are not produced, it will be inevitable that the quality of life in the city center will decline. This reduces the livability of cities. There are many solutions to this issue. (applications such as underpasses, smart intersections applications, one-way applications, more efficient use of public transport systems.) The most suitable for the structure of cities is the use of public transport systems with high efficiency. In this study, the Samandag District of Hatay province is discussed. By analyzing the rubber wheeled public transport system in the district, the current state structure is revealed. In the process of analysis; on the route the number of vehicles, daily routes, the number of passengers carried, number of passengers transported per kilometer of route length, the total daily route miles, miles per vehicle, Time, start and End Times, fees, tariffs, parameters such as the log numbers of species are taken into consideration. Then, recommendations are made to the existing public transport system and the system is based on being more efficient and sustainable. In the studies conducted, it is aimed to determine the problems in the public transport system. Along with the detection of problems, it is recommended to develop the necessary solutions. In this context, to be a more efficient use of public transport routes, the competition between operators which are in competition with one another on the same route to end the introduction of standards specific to public transport systems (handicapped accessible vehicles, in applications such as electronic ticket system), the reduction of traffic congestion, environmental pollution reduction, efficient and sustainable public transport system it is intended to the realization of the situation that are many positive. As a result of the studies, 336 public transport vehicles have been reduced to 113 units, and the number of vehicles has been reduced by approximately %66.4. In addition, the corporate structures of the operators are examined and the necessary solutions are proposed. It is recommended that operators located on the same route participate in the same pool account with a corporate understanding without competing with each other. As a result, it is of great importance for our cities to use public transport systems with high efficiency. It is of great importance to update the data in the public transport system continuously and to continue the work in line with the data obtained.
