The comparison of the effects of the different taping ways in lateral epicondylitis on pain and function

The aim of the study is to compare the effects of the different taping ways on patients with lateral epocondylitis in terms of pain and functions and to determine whether the taping techniques have superiority on each other.36 women(60%)and 24 men 40(%)in total 60 patients attended to our study. The patients were randomly spited out into three groups via sampling way.The groups were spited out as the first group of muscle technique taping, second group of neural technique taping and the third group of muscle-neural taping groups. Conservative treatment and also kinesio taping were applied to all the groups implemented muscle,neural and muscle-neural taping.The patients receive in total 15 sessions of treatment in five days a week.Kinesio taping was applied two days a week.The subjective pain level of the participants was elevated with Visual Analoo Scola (VAS),the strength of grasping with a hand was evaluated with dynamometer and the Turkish version of the lateral epicondylitis functional scale of questionnaire(PRTEE-T)was used to evaluate the patients.The evaluation of the patients was carried out before the treatment and after the treatment.When the abstained data is evaluated, Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and the lateral epicondylitis functional scoop parameters show recovery in all groups, however, statistically significant difference is not found (p>0.05). When data of maximum grasping strength is examined, increase in muscle strength in all groups is seen, statistically significant difference is seen in the evaluation of the muscle and neural technique(p<0.05).In our study it has been experienced that the kinesio taping technique which is applied through conservative treatment has been effective in terms of aches, grasping strength and also, when observed in terms of taping techniques,only one of techniques is superiour to the other one.
