Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the single and combined effects of different stratification applications (control, 7days, 14 days, 21 days, 28 days, 35 days, 42 days, 49 days, 56 days and 63 days, at +4 ˚C degree) and different gibberellic acid concentrations (0 ppm, 250, ppm, 500 ppm, 750 ppm and, 1000 ppm) applications on the germination and seedling quality of Lavandin (Lavandula angustifolia Mill)seeds. The study was conducted in the germination cabinets at Harran University, Faculty of Agriculture in 2021.The experiment was set up according to the Randomized Complete Plot with Split-plot design with 3 replications, pre-chilling time to the main plot, and GA3 doses to the subplot.Speed of germination, germination power, sprout speed, sprout power, seedling sprout length, fresh sprout weight, dry sprout weight, seedling root length, fresh root weight, and dry root weightwas significantly affected from the single and combined effects of stratification applications and gibberellic acid applications.Stratification and GA3 applications were found to have a positive effect on the germination rate alone, as well as an increase in germination rates with their combined effects. It was determined that 250 ppm GA3 + 14 days stratification application with the highest germination rate was the most suitable pretreatment for the germination of Lavandula angustifolia seed.
