Abstract (EN)
Translations of the Qur'an into Turkish are made to convey the meaning of the original Arabic text to Turkish-speaking audiences, and grammar plays a significant role in this process. The complexity and richness of Arabic grammar require careful grammatical analysis to accurately reflect the meaning of the Qur'an. Turkish translations consider Arabic sentence structures, word meanings, and the nuances of the language. In these translations, the rules and structures of Arabic grammar are aligned with Turkish grammar rules. Thus, the message of the Qur'an can be understood and correctly interpreted by Turkish-speaking readers. Grammar ensures both the correct understanding of the Arabic text and the consistency and accuracy of the Turkish translations. The revelation of the Qur'an in their own language made it a natural process for the Companions to understand it. Evaluating the life conditions and the context in which the Qur'an was revealed without neglecting the period is essential to understanding the content and style of the Qur'an. The Qur'an addresses the beliefs, traditions, cultural understandings, and various activities of the society it was revealed to, while also intervening in and correcting these elements. Therefore, knowing the context of the revelation is of great importance in the process of understanding and interpreting the Qur'an. The first chapter of the thesis deals with Leyse and Asbaha in the context of grammar. This section thoroughly examines the basic building blocks of Arabic grammar, such as the nominal sentence, subject (mubtada), and predicate (khabar). The structure and function of the nominal sentence, definitions and types of subject and predicate are discussed. Also, the concepts of verbal sentence and pseudo-sentence are explained. Under the heading of Nevasih, important grammatical elements such as Kâne and its sisters, Asbaha, İnne and its sisters, and Leyse are detailed. In the second chapter of our study, the verses in which Leyse and Asbaha verbs are used in the Qur'an and their translations are examined. The different situations and examples of the subjects and predicates of deficient verbs are analyzed in detail. Examples where the subject is manifest (marfu'), connected marfu' pronoun, concealed pronoun, and interpreted infinitive, and examples where the types of predicates are various (verbal sentence and pseudo-sentence) are discussed. Moreover, examples where the subject of the deficient verbs is postponed and the predicate is preponed are also examined. The thesis comprehensively examines the grammatical structure of Leyse and Asbaha verbs, which are significant elements of Arabic grammar, and their usage in the Qur'an, analyzing their importance in terms of grammar and meaning.
