Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, there has been a significant increase in the usage of different kind of nanoparticles within the biomedical field with the rapid developments in nanotechnology. Nanoparticles are actually particles ranging in size between 1 and 100 nm. Due to their biological and physicochemical therapeutic qualities, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have been widely exploited in biomedicine. Silver nanoparticles also have anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-angiogenic, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-cancer biological activities. Because of their unique physical, chemical, and optical properties, particularly enable them to be used in a variety of applications, including the delivery of medications to a specific target inside the body, silver nanoparticles are being studied more and more. Approaches that circumvent these challenges are crucial given the drawbacks of standard cancer treatment, which include low absorption and the resultant need for high doses that have negative side effects. This study was conducted to assess the efficacy of drug L24, silver nanoparticles and coupling of Ag-L24 on human lung cancer cell line A-549. And these three treatments were also applied to Human Normal lungs epithelial cell line Beas2B to assess the viability using MTT Assay. The results of this study present an overview of silver nanoparticles as a drug carrier system, transport of anticancer drugs, specificity and compare hemolytic toxicity between free drug and drug with silver nanoparticles. The viability assay and the calculation of IC value and cell viability assay show promising results.
