Logistic regression analysis of factors affecting the career plans of university students

It's an important issue for students in career to work in career fields that reflect their skills, abilities and personalities after graduating from university. And for this purpose, students need to make their career plans in the process of university and make some studies with this awareness in order to turn to the professions in which they can use their skills in live with their abilities that reflect themselves better. And another issue that is as important as career planning is the factors that are effective in the formation of career plans. In this context, the factors affecting the formation of career plans after graduation for students studying at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Bursa Uludag University have been analyzed by using SPSS with nominal logistic regression analysis. As a result of analysis among the independent variables that are considered that may have an impact on the students on selecting their career plans are seen as; the class attended by the students, socio – economic level perceived by the student for his/her family, and student's leadership and educational goal. And besides, percentage of the classification of the model was found as %78.4. Keywords: Career Plan, Logistic Regression, Career Choice
