Abstract (EN)

This study makes a musical analysis of Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, Op. 36 and examines the work in terms of conducting techniques. It is aimed to guide conductors and conducting students through the technical and aesthetic data to be obtained. In the study, the movements and composers who prepared the classical style were examined in general terms, and the life stories of Franz Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who are known as the "Viennese Classics" and whose influences are seen in Beethoven's early music, and the innovations they brought to the musical art of the period were also included. Then, the musical analysis of the work was made and the work was examined in terms of conducting techniques and suggestions were made. In this study, which was conducted using descriptive research and survey methods, the original edition edited by the British conductor Jonathan Del Mar in 2011 was used and the score samples were extracted from this edition.
