Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in the Research Area of MTU Faculty of Agriculture between 2021-2022. In the study, 4 new day-neutral ("San Andreas", "Monterey", "Albion", "Portala"), 4 short day types ("Petaluma", "Merced", "Pineapple" and "Rubygem") for our country. Eight strawberry cultivars were grown in a plastic greenhouse and their yield and fruit quality characteristics were examined. The experiment was carried out in a plastic greenhouse with the frigo plant method and the summer planting method. The first flowering dates, total yields per plant, average fruit weight, TSS contents, acidity, pH, TSS/Acid ratio, fruit outer color and chlorosis status were investigated in the experimental plants. The earliest flowering of strawberries grown in plastic greenhouses in Malatya conditions was observed in the second week of September in "Monterey" variety. The highest yields per plant were obtained from the "Portala" variety. Again, the "Portala" variety gave the highest fruit size and the smallest fruits were taken from the "Pineapple" variety. While the highest values were obtained from "Pineapple" variety in terms of SÇKM contents, "Petaluma" variety came to the fore in terms of taste. According to the results of the weighted grading, "Portala" variety was determined as varieties that are well adapted to Malatya conditions, and it was the variety that can be recommended together with "Albion", which is the most cultivated variety in the region. 2023, 49 page KEYWORDS: Strawberry, fresh plant, plastic house, fruit quality properties
