A systematics study on water mites (acari, hychnidia) of Malatya province

Totally, it has been determined 48 species belonging to 15 families.All identified species are reported Malatya province for the first time. Of these, Protzia(Calonyx) octopora Lundblad, 1954, Limnolegeria longiseta Motaş, 1928, Torrenticola(Megapalpis) jasminae Bader, 1988, Torrenticola (s.str.) nana Di Sabatino & Gerecke, 2003,Monatractides aberratus Lundblad, 1941, Monatractides lusitanicus Lundblad, 1941,Monatractides vafaei Pesic, 2004, Neumania (s.str) uncinata Walter, 1927, Albia stationisThon, 1899, Axonopsis (Hexaxonopsis) serrata Walter, 1928 are new records for the Turkishfauna. The genera of Limnolegeria Motaş, 1928, Albia Thon, 1899 and Axonopsis Piersig, 1893are also new for the Turkish fauna. The male of Hygrobates (Rivobates) ezoensis Uchida, 1934known from Turkey previously is also determined for the first time.The morphological characters, the measurements habitats and distributions on Turkeyand on the world and the short descriptions of all identified species were given. Furthermore, ithas been given the drawings of various organs of species that are new records for the Turkishfauna.Keywords: Acari, Hydrachnidia, Systematics, Water mites, Malatya, Türkiye.I
