The Effect of Mushroom Management Approach on the Level of Organizational Cynicism of Healthcare Professionals

The main purpose of this study is to determine the mushroom management perceptions and organizational cynicism levels of healthcare professionals and to determine whether the employees' mushroom management perceptions affect their organizational cynicism levels. The sample of the research consists of public health workers working in Kayseri City Hospital. (n=360) The survey technique was used in the study and the "Mushroom Management Scale" developed by Tekin and Birioğlu (2018) and the "Organizational Cynicism Scale" developed by Brandes, Dharwadkar and Dean (1999) were applied to the employees. Regression, correlation, independent sample t test and Anova were used in the analyses. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that the organizational cynicism levels of the employees differ according to the variables of gender, professional experience and working time in the institution, while the mushroom management perceptions differ according to the variables of age, professional experience and working time in the institution. It has been determined that there is a moderately positive relationship between mushroom management and organizational cynicism, and the employees' perception of mushroom management positively affects the level of organizational cynicism.
