Fantastic elements in lasdscape painting

This thesis examines the effects of fantastic elements used in landscape paintings and how they change the visual experience offered to viewers. The effects of fantastical elements on the viewer and how artists can successfully integrate these elements into their work are explained in detail. Fantastic art involves images and concepts that deviate from reality and are based on imagination. Artists create unreal, fantastical worlds using elements such as mythological elements, mythical beings, fantastic landscapes or science fiction themes. Such works offer the viewer the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature from a perspective they have never considered before. Fantasy painting aims to take the viewer away from the real world, freeing the imagination and creating a different perception of reality. Furthermore, the relationship between mysticism and fantastic painting was examined, and it was emphasized that mystical experiences can be expressed through fantastic images or that fantastic works can be a source of inspiration for mystical experiences. It was stated that the deeply affecting thoughts of fantastic realist artists pushed the boundaries of the perception of reality by bringing a different perspective to landscape paintings and tried to paint landscape paintings more beautifully in a fantastic way without breaking away from reality. This study examines in depth the effects of fantastic art on landscape paintings and how artists can successfully use such elements. By combining landscape paintings with fantastical elements, such works aim to create an experience for the viewer that is both familiar and unusual. By pushing the boundaries of the perception of reality, fantastic landscape painters strive to create a utopian universe in their imagination, leaving the pure imitation of the landscape in order to give an intellectual content to their landscape paintings.
