Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine the yield and some yield components of some grain maize (Zea mays L.) varieties grown as second crops in the Mardin ecological conditions. In 2016, three random seeds were grown in the second crop growing season in Atlica Village of Kızıltepe district of Mardin, carried out repeatedly. As seed material in the study; AS71, Capuzi, Motril, PR32T83, DKC6120, DKC6101, AGM1506, Market, Apex and Sincero corn varieties were used. Varieties used in the research were 194.8-233.6 cm in plant height, 65.0-70.6 days in peak tassel length, 17.46-21.40 cm in the height of the stubble, 468.60-651.96 in the cocoon, 185.66-327.66 g in the single cocoon yield, 13.86-16.13 in the cocoon, the weight of the stem is 2.86-3.14 cm, the height of the cob is 80.33-112.53 cm, the number of cobs per plant is 0.94-0.98, the weight of one grain is 287.33-564.33 g, the weight of hectorite is 64.40-81.23 g, the crude oil content is 2.99-4.40% 8.59-9.34, starch content 62.97%, grain yield 771.67-1098.33 kg / da, and cob thickness 2.93-4.63 cm. It was determined that the most suitable varieties used in the study were PR32T83, AGM1506, DKC6120, MARKET and DKC6101.
