Abstract (EN)

In this study; It was aimed to determine the sugar, organic acid and phenolic component contents of 18 pomegranate genotypes grown in Artuklu and Kızıltepe districts of Mardin province by HPLC method, one of the chromographic methods. In the fruit juice samples of the genotypes included in the study, the findings obtained as a result of sugar analyzes made in HPLC-RID device, organic acid analyzes made in HPLC-DAD device and phenolic component analyzes made in HPLC device were analyzed statistically. Significance levels of the differences between the means (p<0.05) were made according to Duncan multiple comparison test. According to this; It was determined that the glucose content of pomegranate genotypes varied between 96.84-60.33 g/L, fructose content 86.22-60.53 g/L, sucrose content between 397.87-233.37 g/L and xylose content between 169.96-114.14 g/L. It was determined that the genotypes ranged between 11.09-0.30 g/L of tartaric acid and 1.65-0.53 g/L of pyruvic acid. Among the phenolic component contents of the genotypes, ascorbic acid 7.78-3.64 mg/g, hydroxybenzoic acid 1.37-0.13 mg/g, gentisic acid 0.12-0.02 mg/g, ferrulic acid 9.76-2.98 mg/g, o-coumarin 0.09-0.002 mg/g, It was determined that the amounts of neohesperidin 0.23-0.01 mg/g, coumarin 0.03-0.003 mg/g, resveratrol 0.14-0.033 mg/g, quercetin 0.09-0.005 mg/g and gallic acid varied between 17.16-6.77 mg/g.
