Abstract (EN)

Burnout syndrome is one of the factors affecting the 21st century working life in a negative way. As it is known, educational institutions are quite complex in terms of functional and structural aspects. In 1974, Freudenberger first described the burnout syndrome as depletion, lack of energy, inadequacy of energy, unsuccessfulness, exhaustion by insatiable desires in the inner beings of the person. From an organizational and personal point of view, burnout syndrome is a general phenomenon that creates non-positive effects. The aim of this study is to determine whether the levels of burnout of private secondary school teachers are conceptual in their work in the context of their work and to see whether there is a difference in their results. The main purpose of this study is the burnout of teachers due to the heavy pressure caused by the heavy pressure in the areas where the professional communication is intense. The Maslach Burnout Inventory (1981), which consists of 22 items adapted to Turkish by Ergin (1992), was used in order to determine burnout status and job satisfaction. 84 mathematics teachers working in private secondary schools in Adana were surveyed. Data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 program. T test and Anova test were used for demographic variables, frequency and percentage distribution, and scale scores according to demographic characteristics. The findings of the studies conducted in order to determine and reveal the burnout levels of secondary school mathematics teachers were presented with scale questions and factor analysis. According to research, mathematics teachers did not experience burnout in the dimension of emotional exhaustion, desensitization and personal failure.
