Abstract (EN)
This study deals with the issues of blue growth and blue economy, which have been mentioned about a lot recently, by emphasizing the importance and necessity of water in human life. It will be emphasized that water is tried to be privatized with the effect of capitalism in the globalizing world over time and that water is a universal fundamental right of every individual. Today, sustainable development is gaining more and more importance for the effective use of environmental resources and for leaving a healthy living environment to future generations. Accordingly, the concepts of blue economy and blue growth aim to use marine resources in a sustainable way and to increase the economic potential of the seas. As a concept, the blue economy refers to an approach that includes environmental, social and cultural sustainability principles rather than just the economic use of marine resources. The aim of this study is to make sense of the concepts of blue economy and growth and to determine how these concepts contribute to the sustainable use of marine resources. In conclusion, it will reveal that the blue economy and blue growth establish a strong relationship between sustainable use of marine resources, economic development and sustainable development, and that more work in this area is important.
