ABSTRACT FETİC, Edita, ''Mehmet Nuri Parmaksız Hayati, Sanatı ve Eserleri'', Master's Thesis (Consultant: Prof. Dr. Nurullah Çetin), Ankara, 2024, 155 pp. Mehmet Nuri Parmaksız, one of the important poets of the new literature, distinguishes himself from others by preserving the basic symbols of tradition and adding innovations to them. We have determined that a detailed and comprehensive study of this valuable poet's life, poems and articles, as well as all kinds of products he has given, has not been done so far. This study provides a comprehensive review of Mehmet Nuri Parmaksız's life and works and emphasizes his importance in Turkish literature. Mehmet Nuri Parmaksız has added great value to Turkish culture both with his works and literary works. This thesis deals with Parmaksız's life, art and works as a whole. In the introduction, the general situation of the new Turkish literature and more specifically modern poetry is determined; the thoughts, social environment and the ideas of the new literary figures in this period are analyzed. Part I focuses on Parmaksız's life, academic personality, social and psychological world. In Part II, opinions on the poet's art and artistic personality are put forward. Part III covers his thoughts on literature and language. Finally, Chapter IV is the core of the study. In this part, the poet's works (especially his poems) are analyzed in terms of content, form, language and style. In the conclusion, important additions have been made, including an interview with the Honorable Parmaksız and an excerpt from a poem that has never before been published anywhere.The biggest advantage of this research is that we have access to "first-hand literature". Therefore, we used direct interviews with the Honorable Mehmet Nuri Parmaksız as the main source of information during the writing of the thesis. In this way, we were able to get the information we were looking for directly from him, rather than from previous studies. If Mr. Mehmed had not been the main source of literature for this thesis, it would certainly have been much more laborious to write such a study.
