Abstract (EN)

Due to the increasing demand for strawberry cultivation in the world and in our country, modern breeding has gained great importance, through the great advantages of biotechnological methods. For this purpose, F1 hybrid individuals and their parents belonging to this F1 hybrid population were used as materials, in which the "Fortuna" cultivar obtained by the classical hybridization breeding method as the mother parent and the "Rubygem" cultivar as the pollenizer parent. F1 individuals and their parents obtained from Fortuna X Rubygem population, 7 different vegetative traits in March and April of 2021 and 2022, and 27 different fruit traits in fruits that reached harvest maturity at the same months were examined. Average fruit weight, outer fruit colour and sugar content were measured in the harvested fruits. Two-year data from a total of 34 observations and measurement parameters were used in the quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis. The distribution of F1 individuals and parents according to the criteria examined in four different periods were determined. The total sugar content was determined by HPLC technique in strawberry fruits belonging to individuals in the hybrid strawberry population varied between 1.3 - 7.2%, and in parallel with this value, the Brix value ranged between 1.9 - 8.6%. As a result, 22 quantitative trait loci were determined from 34 traits. The QTLs which were above 20% were determined in the fruit flesh colour, outer fruit colour (C) and inner fruit colour (L) traits. The 3 different PV values of m166507450 SNP marker were calculated quite high and this marker can be used in the future breeding studies after validation.
