Abstract (EN)

Meniscal tissue is between 3 different bones, Tibia, Femur and Patella which are the bones of knee joint. In todays' world, meniscal degeneration is oftenly seen. The purposes of degeneration are sports accidents, car accidents, foreces that come on the knee joint and rotating knee joint while the body is stable etc. As a consequence of these reasons, meniscal injuries and tears are seen. Generally, pulsion and pain are the results of degeneration. Treatments are used in meniscal degenrations and tears. Sewing the degenerated or teared part, if that part is not able to be sewed, cutting and taking out that part of meniscus and if the part will not be cured by cutting operation, all the tissue is taken out. Instead of resent meniscus part, cadaver meniscus is used. However, some tissue incompatibilities might be seen. The other method is producing a synthetic meniscus and placing it in to knee. The aim of this thesis is to produce a synthetic meniscus implant that could be changed with deteriorated tissue.
