Investigation and analysis of İmam Malik's views in Merginani's book entitled al-Hidayah

In our study, the views of Ali bin Abi Bekr al-Merginani related to Imam Malik in his book named al-Hidayah were evaluated. Al-Merginani was one of the leading scholars of the region of Transoxiana during the Karahanli period and reached a significant level in the school of Hanafi sect, by taking lessons from the leading scholars of the region where he lived. This book, which was taught in the Moslem seminary that were subject to the Hanafi sect for centuries, is still being taught as a textbook at al-Ezher University today. The aim of our study on this work, which is of great importance in the Islamic world, is to identify the erroneous transfers of al-Merginani, which also refers to other sects, and contribute to scientific studies related to this book, even for different reasons. Our study consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the lives of Imam Malik and Merginani are discussed and general information is given about the work of alHidayah. In the second part, the views related to Imam Malik were determined and evaluated in the worship section of al-Hidayah. In the third part, the opinions related to Imam Malik were determined and evaluated in the transaction section of alHidayah. As a result, it has been determined that Merginani refers to Imam Malik in a total of eighty-nine issues and twenty-five of them are defective.
