Ergonomic risk analysis application in vocational high school practice workshops

Occupational accidents caused by workbenches and working errors in machining processes can cause serious injuries and fatal results. Machines and human ergonomics mismatch is also one of the main causes of work accidents. In this thesis study, general information was given about the purpose of use and ergonomics of the benches used in the application workshops of vocational high schools. In the second part of the study, the Ergonomic characteristics of Mechanical and Design Technology students, who are from a certain age group, were examined in terms of physical, psychological, and environmental factors in the application workshops. In the last part, on the student's compatibility with the machining benches they used during the workshop practices, the ergonomic risks were analyzed. The OWAS method was used in the analysis of ergonomic risks. As a result of this research it is aimed to reveal, reduce and, if possible, eliminate ergonomic risks in practice workshops. Analysis and evaluations of the data obtained as a result of the application of the method are explained in the findings and results section.
