Abstract (EN)

In the context of the thesis, metakaolin (MK), produced temperatures between 600-8000C by calsining of kaolin clay, is used as the mineral admixture. MK incorporated to the mortar mixtures in 8 different proportions in order to determine alkali silica reaction, chloride permeability and capillary and total water absorption properties. Two different groups were prepared. In the first group, the water/binder ratio is varying depending on the water requirement of the mixtures. In the second group, superplasticizer chemical admixture has been incorporated to the mixtures in order to have a constant water/binder ratio of 0,5. The several result of this investigation may be concluded as, MK incorporation reduces ASR, chloride permeability and capillary and total water absorption properties of the mortars.
