Abstract (EN)
Sociology is important at the point of identifying various facts and concepts as a multidimensional discipline. Accordingly, it has a large scope of study in scope. History also leads these areas. In this direction, historical sociology shines a light on our path by coming forward. Michael Mann also takes his place as one of the major figures in historical sociology. Offering a different perspective on power and state, Mann has managed to put a stamp on his field with his analysis. The main purpose of the study was to examine the concepts of power and state that many thinkers have defined, in the perspective of Michael Mann, to work in the context of a state theory in which differences are presented, and to analyze power over human societies. Although Mann is here as a thinker who has gone his own way, Weber's influence is undeniable. State and power are a phenomenon that has always been preserving its existence by acquiring a place for itself in various forms at all times when people have lived in social processes. As a plural area, it must also be said that power has a large stake in shaping social life in the sense that the state is housed in inequalities linked to power relations and business division.
