Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, different configurations of microstrip patch antennas are designed for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communication systems. The parameters of the antenna are examined between 3.1 GHz - 10.6 GHz such as Return Loss, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio and Radiation Pattern. In the study, materials and dimensional parameters are changed on the designed antennas for improving antenna behaviors within the specified frequency range. The generally, referenced methods are to vary the size, shape and types of materials used in the substrate, ground plane and patch. Antennas are designed and simulated by using CST Microwave Studio computer program. Key Words: microstrip patch antenna, radiation pattern, Return Loss, Ultra-Wideband
