Abstract (EN)
Introduction: Microscopic colitis is characterized by abdominal pain and diarrhea, endoscopic examination, mucosal biopsy specimens were taken from almost every time were normal, but who were diagnosed with clinical manifestation. Suspected in a patient presenting with chronic abdominal pain, diarrhea, and determinations these patients may be diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, a biopsy is received. This approach also adversely affects the patient. Celiac disease (CD) of wheat, barley, oats and rye caused by intolerance to gluten found in grains such as, the characteristic histopathological findings in the form of the small intestine characterized by inflamation and villus atrophy, which resolved with a gluten-free diet, a hereditary disease. The etiology of the disease is not fully known. Celiac disease may be asymptomatic, severe malabsorption can show themselves in the clinic.Aim: Colonoscopy with biopsy to investigate the prevalence of diagnosed celiac disease in patients with microscopic colitis.Patients and methods: The study by the Rome III criteria, a total of 98 patients diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, as a result of the colonoscopic biopsies of 20 patients with a diagnosis of microscopic colitis. Patients out of 12 men and 8 women. Lymphocytic colitis, microscopic colitis is available in all 20 patients. None of the patients were not available kollagenöz colitis. Celiac disease in these patients in order to investigate the anti-gliadin (AGA) IgA, IgG, and anti-endomysium (EMA) IgA, IgG, anti-tissue transglutaminase (ATTG) The presence of antibodies was investigated. In addition, endoscopic duodenal biopsy in patients with celiac disease, the presence of histologically examined.Findings: That we studied 20 patients with microscopic colitis supports the serological evidence was not detected in any of celiac disease. Histological changes of celiac disease in patients with endoscopic biopsies were detected. Microscopic colitis in patients with celiac disease than in the general population was not detected statistically significant evidence of sightings.Results: Limited number of patients included in the study, although no relationship was observed between microscopic colitis and celiac disease.Key words: Microscopic colitis, celiac disease, Lymphocytic colitis, autoantibodies, the incidence
