Abstract (EN)

Building materials are one of the most important elements in the process from the design of the buildings to their production, maintenance and elimination after completing the life process. The designer, implementer, manufacturer and user are constantly in search of new ones to keep the structure better and to have the quality and economy they want. Today, sustainability is added to this search criteria. These searches lead to the emergence of different materials. In this study, considering the physical and chemical properties, advantages and disadvantages of Cor-Ten steel, it was investigated whether the material is an ideal material for use in architecture and whether it is sustainable. In parallel with the development of technology in the world, the use of corten steel in the architectural field is increasing rapidly.
