How to creation idea of humor illustration

Laughing is the spirit of humanity. They have obstreperousness from time to time, tease and correct the faults. Sometimes they are sublime, sometimes they are the ones who are forbidden. Humor is the brightness of human mind. Thus, this essence could find its place in every branch of art, particularly in humorous illustration. The written history and philosophy of laughing starts in ancient Greece. The notions of Aristotle and Plato on laugh do not only become the source of monotheistic religions, but also become the source of inspiration to the humor theories of modern times. Particularly supremacy theory, dissonance theory and relaxation theory, above 300 theories tried to explain the extraordinary mystery of laugh. The main purpose of this thesis is "how humorous illustration joke is created", which is one of the visualization branches of graphic art. The history of humor, its theories and its kinds have been methodologically examined. Then, the historical development process of humorous illustration has been discussed. Besides researching the humorous illustration works of the artists, some interviews were conducted with the competent humorous illustration artists within the country and from abroad how they perceive their humors and the way these artists create humor was revealed. Whether the phenomenon of humor can be explained via theories has been examined within the context of humorous illustration and eventually different results were confronted. Therefore, it has been exhibited that humor involves a complex structure and it is likely impossible to explain it via theories.
