Abstract (EN)
In this study, the dictionaries "Classified Dictionary of Proverbs" by Metin Yurtbasi and "Mongol züir tsetsen ügiin gurvan myangan deej" by Zayabaatar D. and S. Coimaa were referred to as the main sources, and the proverbs used in Mongolian and Turkish spoken in Turkey were also compared, taking into account other studies on proverbs where necessary. Proverbs that share common characteristics have been studied in three separate sections in terms of form and meaning. Proverbs which are similar in form and meaning, partly similar in form, equal in meaning, different in form but same in meaning have been determined through the study. Common aspects in the identified proverbs will emphasize the common characteristics of the Turkish and Mongolian peoples. Key Words: Proverbs, Mongolian Proverbs, Proverbs in Turkish spoken in Turkey, Turkish, Mongolian
