The relationship between motivation and productivity: An example of a foundation university

Universities are institutions of science and higher education consisting of faculties doing research and providing education. Staff should be motivated in terms of fulfilling desired functions of universities. At that point, the aim of this study is to detect how to get the university staff work efficiently by measuring the motivation level of university staff. In this study; motivation, factors that effect motivation, efficiency, factors that effect efficiency, the relationship that effect job satisfaction and job dissatisfaction are analysed theoretically. In addition to this, the mission of university, authorisation and responsibilities, the staff, the importance of motivation and efficiency for universities and the factors effecting the motivation of university staff and demographic factors are included. In the last part, motivation and efficiency questionnaire has been carried out to the staff of the university.
