A stylish analysis of Muhammed Beshir al-Hariji's poetry

In this thesis, I focused on the collection of poems of Muhammed bin Bashir Al-Khareji, who was an Umawii poet lived in a time when linguistic usage could be used as evidence. I discussed his collection of poems in stylistic analysis through the pillars of literature communication theory, which the stylistic theory takes as a corner base for studying texts stylistically. The study is in two chapters; theoretical and introductory, plus conclusion and an appendix of references and resources, then index. This study led to a number of findings, including that the poet had grammatically accurate language and sensitive feelings. Moreover, his poetry could be taken as a source of evidence in Arabic grammar. Also, the poet is one of the pioneers of renovation in Arabic poetry from early times. He did not abide by the established rules of poems in his time, but he invented a new way; namely going to the subject directly with no introductions. In this study, I utilized theories that define the author of the literary text through the text itself. Among these theories are the theory of Johnson and the theory of Busemann, which depend on the semantic statistic of the poems that are falsely attributed to the poet. In this search, I concluded that Muhammed bin Bashir Al-Khareji is one of the poets of the times when linguistic usage could be used as evidence. His poetry could be used as evidence in setting the rules for the Arabic language. Moreover, it has been proved that he is one of the reformers in the Arabic poem. He did not abide by the established rules of poems in his time and the previous times, but he invented a new way where he surpassed the established rules of the early native Arab. He used to go to the subject directly without needing to describe ruins or the shape of a camel or the beauty of a beloved woman.
