Abstract (EN)

The work we have studied and called Sîretü'n Nebî was written in mesnevi verse by an author called Muhammed in 872 Hijri (Gregorian 1468). This work stood out by its literary and religious aspects and It was read lovingly for many years both at its time and after then. Even it was circulated from hand to hand as the basis of the reading meetings. This work whose many lithograph were held by special hands was to be desired to be imparted to the world of literature. For this purpose, an extensive research conducted on the work called Sîretü'n Nebî. More than ten lithographs and twenty-four manuscripts were reached. A comparative copy of the work was demonstrated by exploiting two different Lithographs and four different manuscripts. This study was arranged in five sections. In the introduction section, some information were given about the the rise and development of science of siyer, diversity in the prophetic biography books in terms of content and verse and prose works written in this field in Turkish literature. After introducing the author and his work in the first section, the copies of the work were introduced and some information was given about considerations in the establishment of the text. In the second section. , morphology, language and stylistic features and the reason of writing were revealed. In the third section, the content of the work was investigated. Allah, the prophets, angels, books, versicles of the Quran, hadiths, men, nation's names, cities and places names, customs, beliefs, and social life were examined. In the fourth section, the section was completed by examining the heading "Laylat Miracle". In the fifth section, the work was completed after summarizing the results achieved by writing the transcriptional text with index and bibliography. Sîretü'n Nebî, was an example of works written during the Old Anatolian Turkish reign. This work, which was rich in terms of language, form and content had importance with regards to history of Turkish literature and Turkish language.
