Playwriting of Murathan Mungan on the example of the play "Like on the Page"

Murathan Mungan is a poet, writer and playwright with his own poetry, stories, novels and understanding of theatre. He has many identities such as leftist, Kurdish, and homosexual, which are also in the foreground in his works. Murathan Mungan refers to various topics and writes for a massive target audience as well as for the private intellectual readers and viewers. He uses the language professionally: he chooses the vocabulary appropriate to the type and characteristics of each piece. Deriving from these versatile personality traits of Murathan Mungan, the first part of the thesis contains a summary of life as a whole, art, understanding of theater, and dramatic works. In the second part of the work, the play "Like on The Page", which was written in 2002 and was later included in the Paper Stone Fabric book, is examined in detail. Moreover, in this section, the play is progressively analyzed in terms of structure (event knit, play characters, time and space); the connection to the other two plays in the Paper Stone Fabric book is analyzed; the violation of the rules of the dramatic works of the game is examined; it proves that the game is postmodern and carries postmodern features (intertextuality, supremacy); a diagram of symbols in the work is created; the play is considered through symbols. Thus, the dramatic works of Murathan Mungan are interpreted as a whole and the "Like on The Page" play is examined by various methods. Key words: Mungan, Theater, Commettary, Like on The Page
