Hulasatu'l-Hediyye by Mustakim-Zade Seyyid Suleyman Sa'deddinEfendi (Anaylsis-textual criticism)

Biographical works in classical Turkish literature constitute an important part of it. The ones written in the form of Menâkıb-name and terceme-i hal are very important in terms of understanding the sheiks who are the performers of the Sufi tradition, the sects to which these sheiks are affiliated, and the sect tradition. The introductory part of the study includes information about the Halvetiyye, to which the sheiks whose terceme-i states are included in Hulasatu'l-Hediyye are affiliated, and the Semsiyye, which is a branch of Halvetiyye. This part also discusses the types of terceme-i hal and menakibname types. While the first part of the study includes information about the author of the work, Mustakimzade Seyyid Suleyman Sadeddin; the second part gives information about the content of Hulasatu'l-Hediyye, compares, and analyzes the four different copies of the work in terms of language and style. There are four copies of the work that is the subject of the study, two of which are in the Istanbul University Library and the other two are in the Library of Istanbul Topkapı Palace Museum. Again in the scond part, within the context of language and style analysis determines the types of words, phrases, sentence types, idioms, aphoristic expressions and rhetoric used in the work The third part of the study includes the transcription of the work and the issues that are consedered in the writing of the text. The conclusion part discusses the findings of the study and includes its contributions to the world of science.
