Abstract (EN)

In today's business world, logistics plays a critical role in enabling companies to gain a competitive advantage. Customer-oriented and information systems-based logistics capabilities allow businesses to enhance their operational efficiency and expand their market share. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of customer-oriented and information systems-based logistics capabilities on business performance. Customer-based logistics capabilities enable businesses to respond quickly to customer demands and maximize customer satisfaction. A proper understanding of customer expectations, timely product delivery, and offering customized services strengthens the company's position in the market. In this context, increasing customer loyalty also supports the long-term success of businesses. Information systems-based logistics capabilities help optimize logistics processes by ensuring accurate data collection and analysis. Real-time data analytics enhance the efficiency of logistics activities such as transportation, warehouse management, and inventory control. These capabilities contribute to business performance by quickly identifying disruptions in logistics processes, thus saving time and costs. The research questions of the study are as follows: Do information-based logistics capabilities affect business performance? Are there statistically significant differences between participants regarding demographic variables, information-based logistics capabilities, and business performance? The population of the study consists of employees working in logistics companies operating in Istanbul. The survey, designed to collect data, includes three sections: the first section contains personal information questions such as gender, age, work experience, and education level; the second section includes the "Information-Based Logistics Capabilities Scale"; and the third section includes the "Business Performance Scale." The survey data were analyzed using SPSS 21, applying "reliability analysis," "frequency analysis," "regression analysis," and "variance analysis." The results of the analysis indicated that logistics capabilities, customer-oriented logistics capabilities, and information-based logistics capabilities have an impact on business performance.
