Abstract (EN)

Today, there are many debates about what happiness is. Happiness differs from individual to individual. This difference can change in the same individual over time, even instantaneously. Technological developments provide the opportunity to work more detailed and easier in the field of happiness. The Gross Domestic Product does not focus on happiness and moral values. For this reason, Gross National Happiness is a decisive indicator in economic development. The Gross National Happiness Index highlights well-being, health, psychology and spiritual values. While changes in the parameters of happiness could not be measured in a healthy way in the past, it has become quite accessible to make these measurements and evaluate the results obtained today. With this, the possibility of more and more reliable data flow has emerged. When the world literature on happiness is examined, there are studies in many branches of science. Compared to other branches of science, the concept of happiness was included in the field of economics a little later. Happiness economics, which has not been studied much in the past, has developed with studies in the field of behavioral economics. In this study, with the help of the literature on happiness, the definitions of happiness, the concepts of happiness and the measurement of happiness were primarily handled and the determinants of happiness, economic and other parameters were tried to be revealed with the Bolu Province survey study. KEY WORDS: Happiness Economics, Life Satisfaction, Happiness Measurements, Behavioral Economics, Determinants of Happiness.
